The old ploughman would hardly now recognise the Bothy, which is a skilful reconstruction, to high modern standards, of his former somewhat primitive accommodation.  The original stone end-wall, however, complete with the old fireplace and its cooking 'swee', has been retained and forms a nostalgic backdrop to the present Bothy lounge. 

Accommodation

The front door opens south onto the old farm courtyard, now a landscaped garden. The main entrance to the Cottage, however, is up a set of steps from the parking area to a raised patio, enclosed within a wrought-iron balustrade, and through patio doors to the ground-floor living area.
The lounge/dining area is separated from the kitchen by an open-tread spiral staircase. This leads up to a central landing with doors leading off to either side giving access to the twin and double bedrooms. Downstairs the dining area has a circular glass-topped table with four chairs while the lounge has two dark leather sofas and an oak coffee table. The TV with DVD player and "freeview" box sit in the recess of the old fireplace, in the attractive exposed stone wall.
The ground-floor bathroom has a full-size bath with fitted 'instant' shower, WC and washhandbasin, extractor fan, heated towel-rail, wall-mounted  fan heater, mirror and shaver light.
The fitted kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, cooker hood, built-under fridge with ice-box, washer/tumbledrier, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and extractor fan.  There is also a full range of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and implements.  Please note that we supply the 'Ecover' range of detergents and dishwasher tablets for the use of guests.
